We are currently looking for a full time permanent AFC Manager (Administration, Finance, Control) in Amsterdam who has experience in a broad finance role and experience in streamlining and improving department’s processes and procedures.
Plan and coordinate the process of Statutory Accounts drawing-up and of other periodic company reporting deadlines, according to accounting principles, civil law, tax, and company rules.
Assure the collection and elaboration of necessary reporting for the Financial Statements. Oversee the accounting entries/records and assure that Financial Statements and the other financial reports are accurate, complete and in compliance to reporting procedural standards and the accounting principles.
Guarantee the necessary deadlines according to local tax rules.
Guarantee the information flow is guaranteed, in line with current rules, in a complete and timely manner.
Guarantee General Ledger Monthly Reconciliations.
General Ledger, Tax and Audit Support.
Responsible for maintaining a strong financial control structure.
Manage the month-end and the year-end closing processes.
Oversee the preparation of the VAT returns.
Develop periodic reports for top management.
Oversee the reporting for local compliance (CBS; DNB etc.).
Lead Forecasting and Budgeting Process.
Provide monthly financial reporting and variance analysis to top management.

Start date: immediately.
Full time position based on 40 hours.
Salary € 5.000-5.500 gross.
Direct yearly contract with the company, 1 month probation period.
Travel costs reimbursed based on 0,19 cents per kilometers.

The ideal candidate has an Accounting degree and a post degree accounting qualification (CPA or equivalent) and at least 8 + years in Accounting/Finance with progressive areas of responsibility and at least two years in a managerial position.
Experience with a finance shared service center is a plus.
Experience in a broad finance role with know-how in financial assets and liabilities, and FX and commodity derivatives.
Experience in working in a multinational environment.
Experience working with international accounting principles (IFRS) and tax requirements.
Experience in streamlining and improving department’s processes and procedures.
Strong knowledge of financial reporting.
Experience with automation.
Up to date with financial regulations and compliance.
Fluency in English and Dutch.
Knowledge of SAP tools.
Knowledge of Microsoft tools - primarily Excel.
Highly accurate and detail oriented.
