Commercial day to day operations include the co-ordination of pipeline movements and depot stocks in an supply portfolio. Close liaison with Traders, Channel & Product Optimisers, HCDM’s, OtD and other Commercial Oil Operators is required to ensure the supply-chain is kept feasible in the most cost efficient way and all contractual and operational obligations arising from the contracts are carried out.
By working as part of a team, the commercial operator is expected to:
Maintain the stock in the allocated locations within specified limits (target stocks) and contractual requirements, striving to minimise working capital & transport costs whilst meeting HSSE and legislative standards;
Maintain stock projections for each product at each location for a rolling period of six weeks;
Arrange deliveries of product to pipeline and rail fed customers as required;
Execute the monthly supply plan and generate a detailed replenishment programme for each of the modes;
Play an active part in the S+OP process, contributing information about logistical constraints and opportunities;
Liaise with source refineries, terminals, pipeline operators, exchange partners, distribution and multiple COB’s to ensure replenishments are accomplished optimally when the need to react to both internal and external events occurs;
Be responsible for setting and the communication of volume restrictions when product shortages occur;
Manage operational aspects of the Supply and Terminal agreements with third parties. Act as interface between third parties terminal operators;
Represent the company in pipeline operator, shipping company and other oil company partner’s operational meetings;
Capture and analysis of freight cost and volume data for the monthly budget review process;
Provide input to the annual T&R budget and operational planning process;
Capture non-conformance, supply, quality and HSSE incidents;
Authorise payment of invoices for the area of individual responsibility;
Process requisitions in the Management Systems as the area of individual responsibility requires;
Identify and resolve ticket corruption in the Management Process;
Ensure nomination errors are cleared and processed within KPI time constraints.

What we need from you:
At least 3 years of experience in oil or supply operations, preferably in oil products and will be very familiar with trading environment;
Knowledge and experience of trading systems and processes is required;
French and/or German language would be an advantage.
