We are looking for a full time Crane Operator Assessor who will be involved in all Schiedam Training Center Team duties and in particular will be dedicated to design, plan, organize and deliver all training and assessments for the Crane Operators and Tuggerhoist operator with the use of the Crane Simulator.

  • Collect training needs from Line Managers, Vessels and companies and give them support in the planning and organization in accordance with the operational needs.
  • Prepare the training plan and communicate with internal clients (operative sites, line managers and vessel management team),
  • Organize and monitor training and assessment for Crane Operator lev 3. Lev 1 and 2 and tugger hoist operators,.
  • Design and customize the training materials based on company's needs, international standards, company's standards, best practices and client requirements.
  • Deliver the assessment and training planned in Schiedam Training Centre, On board vessel and in the onshore facilities.
  • Report the training and assessments done in line with the management system of the training center.
  • Follow up the DNV certifications and relative audits for the Level 3 Crane operators’ assessment and simulator.
  • Support the manager of the training center in the training statistical analysis and local training process.
  • Design simulator scenarios for the Virtual Reality Crane Simulator according to DNV standard and the specific training or assessment needs.
  • Coach and assess the crane ops on site and on the crane simulator.
  • Liaise with the training Centre administrator to maintain all the documentation and training records properly archived in the database.

What we offer

  • Start date immediately.
  • Full time position based on 40 hours.
  • Salary € 3.500-€4.500
  • Direct yearly contract with the company, 1 month probation period.
  • Travel costs reimbursed based on 0,19 cents per kilometers.
  • 25 holiday days per year.

Job requirements

  • Skills and knowledge relevant to offshore Heavy lift installations, such as Jacket installation + piles installation
    Hammering + top sides installations+ windfarm offshore installations.
  • Experience in operating / managing the Crane Tuggers during complex installations .
  • Skills and knowledge towards subsea lifts / installation with the use of the Heave Compensator .
  • Basic training / knowledge about Crane Wire ropes.
  • Proven Knowledge about offshore international standards (BS7121 p11 , LOLER , PUWER etc.)
  • Knowledge about different Local Crane Legislations – Regulations and Codes of Practice.
  • Proven Knowledge and experience on different types of cranes and associated terminology ( knuckle , Crawler , mobiles , pedestal , fixed etc.)
  • Broad knowledge and understanding about crane stability, duty charts and safety devices.
  • Broad Knowledge about Vessel stability and Heavy lifts in combination with the Vessel ballast system.
  • Availability for missions abroad on offshore and onshore sites like vessels and yards.
  • Knowledge and experience on Crane Simulator and Virtual Reality Simulators.
  • Language: English professional level (additional languages is a plus).
