The Trader Support Team provides dedicated ‘on the floor’ IT support to Trading and Commercial staff in Rotterdam and one day per week in The Hague. The team acts as a first point of contact for all Trading IT issues at this location.
Position description - Purpose
Support Analysts are expected to maintain operational effectiveness within a trading environment. They provide first line IT support for PC hardware and networking systems, standard Microsoft Office packages, various specific packages in use by the Trading community for specific analytical purposes, a variety of external data, on-line trading systems services and all “in-house” systems essential for the Trading network to function. To fulfil this role, they need to be familiar with all major Trading systems, and also with the way in which these are used by the Business to facilitate their work. They are also required to liaise with the Global IT Helpdesk and other IT Teams and external Vendors, on such issues that cannot be addressed within the Trader Support team.
Provide effective IT support, and resolve immediate and sustained operation issues, so as to minimise impact
Maintain good working relationship with stakeholders such as the Trading business users, IT service partners, vendors, and IT management
Work with the internal Service Assurance team and other Operational Teams, to coordinate effective resolutions to operational issues
Ensure that all required security, compliance and equipment demand processes and procedures are followed
Facilitate local deployment of software and hardware rollouts, as required
Provide support during the regional annual Business Continuity tests
Maintaining a very high level of service un the trading environment
Balancing satisfying user requests while supporting and adhering to the IT policies
8 hours per day working shifts to accommodate core support hours of 08:30 – 18:00.

Experience and Qualifications required
Excellent English language skills
Significant desktop or infrastructure support experience, preferably in an End-User environment
Excellent customer-facing, interpersonal and communication skills
Ability to deal with business and IT management at all levels
Ability to prioritise in a demanding environment with multiple deliverables.
Affinity with both technology and business processes.
Experience with call-logging systems (e.g. Service Now)
Must be a self-starter, reliable and able to work with minimum supervision.
Sound knowledge of MS Office products and Windows 7/10 Operating System
Exposure to Market Data Feeds (e.g. Reuters/Bloomberg)
A relevant IT qualification (e.g. bachelor degree level)
Knowledge of support processes and ITIL certification
