For our office in Rotterdam, we are looking for an experienced and enthusiastic Financial Controller with a strong link with internal control. You will be part of the Rotterdam finance team where you will report to the Finance director Benelux & France and you will work across all teams to improve the internal control environment.
We are always on the move and trying to improve our business and operations at all levels. Currently we are running a large company-wide project to align and simplify our business and control processes. This links very well with this role and will trigger further development.

 In this position your responsibilities are:
 Designing and maintaining the administrative organization and Internal control framework.
 Analyze the risk and effiency in our business processes
 Perform monthly checks on internal control measures (Journal entry checks/Balance sheet reconciliation)
 Coordinating internal/external audit deliverables
 Drive continues improvement in process and behaviour across all teams
 Support IT implementations by document process and implement automated controls.

What we offer

  • Salary between € 4400 and € 4800 gross per month

Job requirements

 The successful candidate has:

 Masters degree in Finance or Economic discipline
 Big-4 experience in accountancy (+5 yrs) (RA/CPA is plus)
 Hands-on ability to implement swiftly and effectively by taking ownership.
 Experience in mapping out processes in an effective and clear format
 Experience with writing and presenting key reports
 Fluent in the English and Dutch language; both written and verbal (MUST)
 Knowledge of oil or fuel business is considered a plus

 The ideal candidate will also be able to demonstrate the following competencies:

 Ability to build relationships across all layers in the organization.
 Strong communication skills; an inquisitive conversation partner for colleagues of cooperating departments;
