The specific duties of a Windows administrator and the general responsibilities of this role include:

  • Install and Configure Windows Servers; develop servers and provide support to individual users to ensure that the system works reliably and quickly.
  • Provide Technical Support and Guidance; Windows Administrators also provide technical support and guidance to users and other administrators.
  • Perform System Maintenance; review error logs and user-reported errors and identify stable and reliable solutions.
  • Monitor System Performance; involve monitoring daily traffic logs and reports or working directly with end users.
  • Create System Backups.
  • Maintain System Security; maintain system security by noticing faults and vulnerabilities within the server’s architecture.

Job requirements

With regard to this fulltime position several requirements are important:

  • IT bachelor or 3 years of experience as Windows Server Administrator;
  • You have a living address in the south of the Netherlands (Limburg);
  • A good verbal and written knowledge of the English language;
  • This role requires extensive familiarity with Windows servers and frequently involves both risk assessment and user support tasks;
  • Ability to work with minimal guidance;
  • Good team-working skills.
