The Rotterdam based Jetty Scheduler who is part of a team of 6 jetty schedulers, is responsible for an optimal use of the jetty capacity at Pernis, Moerdijk & Europoort.
With the environmental and logistical contstraints, like delivering volume at the lowest costs, while meeting customers' expectations.
More so the Jetty Scheduler is advising on and supporting the co-ordination for nautical cargo handling activities on behalf of Shell in the Rotterdam area.
To ensure all ships calling on Pernis/Moerdijk/Europoort comply with the Ship Quality Assurance and associated processes.
The appointee is responsible for:
Provide a timely and correct month plan of the jetties available (including scheduled maintenance) to all Product Lines, Barge Schedulers and Supply Planners.
Optimize and maximize the capacity utilization of the jetties in Pernis by planning and preparing (daily) programs for incoming ships & barges for loading and discharging oil products, to fulfill customer requirements and limit the risk on demurrage.
Define, address, and resolve any upcoming issues that may obstruct a flawless supply chain process during the ship/shore interface for the short/medium term.
Identify and capture cost saving opportunities by challenging Supply and Marine programs by pursuing the right balance between Supply security/comfort and lowest total Marine costs
Build and maintain sustainable and effective relationships with internal stakeholders as well as 3rd party service providers to ensure a smooth and cost-efficient ship/shore process
Report out and follow up ship/shore related quality complaints and HSSE incidents
To monitor, analyze, control, and report out on port time of ships (tankers and barges) and propose improvement plans for port time efficiency performance
Work partially at the Rotterdam Weena office or manufacturing site (Pernis)
Co-coordinating with Waterfront Operations (including jetty staffing).
The oil supply and trading environment is often dynamic and fast moving. Operators often must be able to respond quickly and accurately to challenging and sometimes conflicting deadlines in order to comply with business needs and policy guidelines. Daily working hours may be variable and unpredictable at times. You will be obliged to participate in the duty cover scheme.
