Shell ER Corporate is looking for an experienced PA to join its team in The Hague (Den Haag). ER Corporate is accountable for managing external communications planning, measurement, communications and engagement on key corporate themes (eg. Energy Transition and Climate Change, Sustainability, Tax) as well as for building key ER capabilities across the function and beyond including Crisis Management, Non Technical Risk Integration, and Stakeholder Relations and Reputation Management. the organization that leads development for Integrated Gas.

Purpose: Provide high quality professional administrative support to VP ER Corporate


  • Booking (complex) travel, accommodation and car transport. Coordinate arrangements internationally, ensuring all required connections, visas, itineraries and travel documents are provided. Make sure traveller doesn't travel without an approved TRA.
  • Process expense claims and track accordingly (Concur)
  • Arrange in- and external meetings/teleconferences, including researching dates for events, coordinating participation, booking rooms
  • Make arrangements for visitors i.e. report at reception, reserve a parking place if needed etc.
  • Provide support to the ERC team to help book meetings and necessary facilities, arrange the logistics for team dinners/events etc.
  • Arrange the on- and off-boarding of new staff and leaving staff (IT onboarding, access to the Shell systems, credit card, book-it etc.)
  • Ad hoc admin tasks, i.e. couriering of documents, arranging hospitality, car bookings
  • Assist with Real Estate issues (e.g. building, seating & (re)location arrangements) as well as other issues affecting the general working environment and staff wellbeing

What we offer

This (part time) opportunity became available due to temporary absence of existing PA. The duration of the assignment is therefore not defined. The position is for 3-4 days per week and 32 hours. The starting day is immediately/ASAP. The position has a gross salary of 2,800 euro, depending on relevant experience.

  • Strong organizational, communication and planning skills
  • Proven secretarial/administrative experience
  • Ability to work independently, set priorities and manage workload
  • Display initiative, flexibility, efficiency, tact and diplomacy Excellent interpersonal skills face to face, on the phone, mail
  • Communicate and establish positive relationships at all levels and across other functions, departments etc
  • Being able to handle confidential information appropriately
  • Being proactive at anticipating needs of staff
  • Experience with maintaining Sharepoint
  • Skilled with various virtual communication tools including telepresence, Yammer and Skype.
  • Strong personal computer-based skills, especially in Word, PowerPoint, Excel and Outlook and the willingness to learn other applications.
  • Good spoken and written English communication skills
  • Able to respect (most) confidential information
  • Able to engage with customers, identify their needs and deliver high quality service
  • Professional, flexible and proactive attitude
  • Willing to challenge the processes as presented; propose simplifications and efficiencies
