For one of our clients we are looking for a full time Publishing Operations Administrator in Dordrecht. The Publishing
Operations Administrator provides administrative support to the Journals Editorial Office. They are responsible for article
processing charge (APC), and membership administration in strict adherence with policy instructions and timely customer
service. They are expected to develop a basic understanding of the peer review and publication process, and to provide expert
customer service to internal teams and external contacts concerning waivers and membership administration.

Main Duties:

· Handle discount requests for APCs.
· Respond to author requests for discounts on APCs.
· With the Commercial and Publishing teams, set up discount codes and assist with memberships, as required.
· Maintain documentation about discount codes and the discount process more widely.
· Provide monthly reports on discounts granted and denied.
· Organisation/structure internal Operations documentation.
· Communicate updates to JEO Management and Policy teams.
· Feed back to the Senior Publishing Operations Administrator with details of issues encountered and resolved, and suggest
procedural changes to eradicate inefficiencies.
· Ensure timely completion of administrative tasks and take responsibility for consistent and compliant application of policy
driven instructions

What we offer

    client if both parties agree.
  • Salary between €2500-2700 gross per month based on 36 hours.
  • Travel costs are fully paid based on € 0,19 per km/.

Job requirements

· Highly organised – e.g. able to schedule multiple priorities, stick to deadlines and manage time sufficiently
· Detail oriented
· Computer literate – understands common software (e.g. Microsoft Office suite) and gains new software skills quickly
· Experience of providing high-quality customer service
· Excellent communication skills (in English language)
· Experience of identifying issues and using own initiative to suggest solutions
· An interest in ethical processes and principles and a motivation towards best-practice excellence
· Embraces change with a positive attitude
· A background or interest in science, publishing or other relevant experience.
