The Network Planning Team is responsible for all investments that are done on our retail sites for the BeNeFrUx and is continuously optimizing the network of more than 500 retail sites. Optimization includes acquisitions of new locations, developing and investing in new CVPs, and future proofing our network in the energy transition (Shell Recharge, Shell LNG & Shell Hydrogen).
As an intern for the Network Planning Team, you will run your own 6-month project that includes outsourcing of current processes that are done in the local team towards Shell Business Operations (SBO). SBOs form the operational backbone of business processes that help deliver Shell’s business solutions across the globe, and is focused on driving excellent corporate performance that enable Shell to operate in a global-competitive and ever-changing business environment.
You are in the driving seat to identify the processes, create and propose solutions, establish connections with the SBO, outsource the processes and ultimately set the organization up for success. Example of processes in scope are CAPEX, Latest Estimate (LE) and site count management. For the project, excellent stakeholder management and communication skills are required, as you will be working together with multiple stakeholders from different backgrounds. Moreover, as processes have to be identified, visualized and solutions have to be created, sound problem-solving skills are preferred.
