We are looking for a full time Supply Chain Specialist in Rotterdam to provide an exceptional operational support in the supply chain environment. We have an opportunity that would allow you to provide an essential role and contribute to delivering superior supply chain services.

  • Serve as single point of coordination between customers (internal and external).
  • Provide excellent and timely customer service by proactively informing clients of the status of their shipments using judgment and knowledge, referring more technical questions to the team leader or licensed broker for response.
  • Receive, review and process documentation for an assigned base of accounts, and process documents through the system.
  • Obtain release and other government agency releases as appropriate, arranging receiving or delivery, and ensuring invoicing for services is completed accurately and within the timeframe consistent with the account and company policy.
  • Perform initial reviews and advise supervisor of any problems or irregularities discovered within assigned transactions.
  • Ensure customer profile information is entered and updated in the appropriate company system for any customers; prepares quotations, letters, and communications as directed.
  • Manage pre-alerts daily to determine whether freight is arriving as expected and ocean documents are received within time standard specified.

Job requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree prefered.
  • 3+ years’ experience combination of Outbound Freight & Logistics, 3PL Management, and/or Supply Chain Operations required.
  • Dutch and English fluently (written and spoken).
  • Must be able to manage multiple priorities, set and achieve challenging goals; work under the pressure of deadline and be adept at managing multiple tasks.
  • Hands-on management approach to workflow.
  • Possess strong presentation, listening, verbal and written communication skills.
  • Demonstrated strong ability to lead and participate effectively in cross-functional teams.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, including an ability to communicate effectively at an executive level.
  • Ability to build strong and sustainable relationships and the capability to interact within all levels of the organization
