The Grill Academy & experience coordinator is responsible for leading all experiential and culinary related activity in the Netherlands.

The key responsibilities for this role are as follows:

1. Expand partners, chefs & courses

  • Identify, assess, secure and set-up new cookery school partners to run GAO courses
  • Recruit additional chefs as necessary for the WBC Program
    Work as part of the Western Europe Grill Academy (GA) team to develop both the GAO & WBC programmes, ensuring they are differentiated
  • Collaborate with the other GA team members to create the barbecue courses, materials and assets which work for the Netherlands market
  • Sell-in new courses to cookery school partners and retailers
  • Adapt all required materials for new courses and distribute to cookery schools & retailers
  • Set pricing structure for all courses
  • Identify potential new GA locations and assess partner suitability
  • Improve the existing B2B concept and manage B2B requests from customers

2. Increase quantity and quality

  • Achieve/exceed the annual targets for participants for both the Grill Academy Original & the Weber BBQ Course programs
  • Ensure GA is integrated into local marketing communication & activities through working closely with the Netherlands Marketing Coordinator
  • Develop a local marketing plan for the GA to drive course bookings
  • Negotiate with GA partners to secure the required number of courses to achieve annual targets
  • Review & manage the customer experience when booking GA courses on weber.com and work with Western Europe Digital Manager to improve
  • Evaluate and improve quality of the course execution by GA partners
  • Organise the annual training of all chefs
  • Manage the local GA P&L including advertising and marketing spend
  • Monitor and measure bookings performance, identifying opportunities and risks
  • Work with sales team to sell in WBC to retailers and secure bookings
  • Coordinate WBC bookings with chefs and dealers
  • Regularly assess the quality of the courses being delivered and ensure they are delivered to a consistently high standard.
  • Monitor sell out post courses and collect feedback from dealers, chefs and consumers.

3. Demonstrate the Brand

  • Work as part of the GA team to develop the annual demonstration programme across Western Europe, defining execution and ensuring demos are integrated into wider campaigns
  • Collaborate with sales team to coordinate execution of Weber demonstrations at dealer stores.
  • Liaise with demo chefs, ensuring they are clearly briefed on the demo programme and any relevant promotions
  • Monitor on sales purchases on the location and collect feedback of the experiences from dealers, chefs and consumers.
  • Support with the organization of consumer facing events

Functie eisen

Experience

  • Minimum of a bachelor degree
  • 1-2 years working in marketing
  • Passion for food and a good knowledge of steering projects and events.
  • Created marketing materials & assets including social media content.

Skills

  • Strong project management skills
  • Can work well under pressure and is able to multitask
  • Good level of English language skills
  • Excellent Dutch written and verbal language skills
  • Ability to think from a consumer perspective
  • Strong communicator, able to network between departments.
  • Have an international mind-set, willing to embrace different cultures
  • Ability to work both independently as well as in a team
  • Able to bring others round to your way of thinking
  • A passion for food and ideally BBQ!

It is comprised of two key initiatives:

  • Grill Academy Original (GAO) – barbecue courses that take place at one of our cookery school partners. Each recipe is prepared from scratch and participants sit down together to feast on the four-course meal they have created.
  • Weber BBQ Courses (WBC) – barbecue courses that take place at our retailers. A Weber trained chef will visit the retailer and conduct a course outside the store.
