Over de functie

Over de functie

Job Purpose:

In 2015, with Power the Downstream Engine and the integration of Trading and Supply, Supply learnt from Trading how to manage its own Price Exposure by using DEX. Naphtha / Fuel oil and Jet DEX books were set up directly within the Trading Rotterdam organization (Single books) while Mogas and MD DEX books remained part of the Supply organization, managed by the Channel Optimizers.

We are now working on aligning the roles and responsibilities on the last established Supply DEX books and move all Price Risk management tasks to the Trading organization. The Channel optimization team currently run 17 DEX books within North West Europe and the intent is to split these across the Mogas and MD trading desks and pass them over with dedicated support in the form of a DEX analyst.
A DEX Analyst is expected to control the inputs of the books and ensure processes are followed to guarantee the outcome provided by DEX. He/she will support Root Cause Analysis and solving process in case of input errors in DEX and in another system called Apollo (which essentially translates GSAP data for automated upload into DEX). He/she is expected to be able to explain the drivers of exposure and MtM DEX P&L.
Job Responsibilities:

  • Ensure all interfaces are running, all WET parcels are generated and allocated daily.
  • Close monthly Profit Group by reconciling GSAP, DEX and Apollo data, roll and allocate internals between Deal Groups (aka monthly Mass Balance). Request Trader approval for closing the reconciliation and store the evidence on Sharepoint.
  • Maintain the contract mapping between GSAP and FED contracts in Apollo
  • Capture Natural Length, non-oil costs and accruals in DEX (transport costs, CSO, etc)
  • Track and support the resolution of input/process inconsistencies.
  • Align daily with the dedicated Trader about what to hedge and be able to explain the drivers of the exposure and P&L changes.
  • Close cooperation with Traders, Channel Optimizers and Commercial oil operators on connecting physical supply chain to book movements
  • Regular engagement with the Sustain & Improve team (S&I) in Germany.
  • Maintain Spotfire tools (so called Hercules and Dexter) with the support of SSSC and FO data analytics in Chennai.

Dimensions

  • Covering 8 countries : UK, Belgium, The Netherlands, Luxembourg, France, Germany, Austria and Switzerland.
  • Connecting Manufacturing, Commercial Fuel, Retail, Supply and Trading data to allow daily exposure management.
