What exactly are you going to do

We are seeking a skilled Demand Planner to join our team. This role involves maintaining a comprehensive demand planning cycle, building accurate demand forecasts in an SAP/APO environment, and aligning them with regional sales plans. The ideal candidate will be pivotal in leading monthly demand review meetings, addressing forecast variances, and ensuring key program stock availability.

  • Developing and maintaining demand forecasts at various levels and time horizons, ensuring alignment with regional sales plans.
  • Leading monthly demand review meetings with key account and regional sales leaders.
  • Analyzing historical sales trends, research demand drivers, and formulate forecast strategy plans to meet KPI targets (e.g., Forecast accuracy, Bias).
  • Collaborating with Sales, Marketing, and Customer Finance teams to gather accurate information for demand forecasts.
  • Monitoring regional inventory plans in line with financial targets to protect working capital.
  • Presenting inventory plans to global S&OP and Finance teams, articulating status, risks, and outlook.
  • Developing long-term inventory strategies to meet business working capital targets and agreed KPIs.
  • Performing regular SKU analysis to determine optimal holdings, considering historical and forecast demand, Vendor MOQs, and lead times.
  • Participating in ABC and SKU Rationalisation reviews for lifecycle management and SKU portfolio optimization.
  • Contributing to monthly S&OP meetings and preparing accurate S&OP slide decks for site reporting.
  • Communicating risks and opportunities to stakeholders, driving actions and decisions for medium and long-term business targets.
  • Fostering business integration towards common objectives.
  • Preparing reports for internal and regional needs, contributing to S&OP reporting, data gathering, and auditing.
  • Engaging in business strategy projects and process improvement initiatives.

Job Requirements

Who are you?

  • At least 2-3 years’ previous experience in a similar Demand Planning role.
  • Recently completed or completing an operations qualification and looking to take the next step in their Planning career.
  • Sound analytical and problem resolution skills to evaluate supply issues and implement corrective actions.
  • High attention to detail and self-drive to optimise product supply and deliver supply chain cost efficiencies.
  • Strong data processing / SKU maintenance / Procurement and Inventory administration skills (SAP MRP desirable).
  • Ability to meet deadlines, handle multiple tasks and prioritise the outcomes.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills to convey information clearly and develop good working relationships.
