As an assistant coördinator, you will contribute to the smooth operation of our modern warehouse in Amsterdam. This role is a dynamic mix of hands-on tasks and coordinating responsibilities, where you’ll ensure daily operations run efficiently. With your experience in logistics and proactive mindset, you’ll play a key role in maintaining quality, supporting your team, and keeping operations on track, even during peak periods.

What You Will Do:

  • Monitor progress: you oversee daily operations and make adjustments as needed to ensure everything stays on schedule.
  • Participate actively: you’ll assist with loading and unloading trailers, order picking, and processing goods to keep workflows moving.
  • Support the team: you provide clear instructions, motivate colleagues, and foster a collaborative environment.
  • Utilize systems: you work with logistics software to track processes and ensure smooth handovers between shifts.
  • Prioritize safety and accuracy: you ensure that all tasks are completed with a focus on quality and adherence to safety standards.
You work in a 4-shift system with the following shifts:
  • Morning shift: 06:45 – 15:15
  • Evening shift: 14:45 – 23:15
  • Night shift: 22:45 – 07:15
Exception: on Sundays, the night shift starts at 22:00.

In addition, there is also the possibility to work day shifts:
  • Monday to Friday: 06:45 – 15:15 (no shift allowance applies)

Job Requirements

We are looking for a proactive Assistant Coordinator who thrives in a dynamic logistics environment and seamlessly balances operational and coordinating tasks.

  • MBO 4 level of education or equivalent work experience.
  • Experience in logistics, preferably in a coordinating role.
  • Willingness to work in shifts, including nights.
  • Proficiency in Dutch and/or English.
  • Knowledge of logistics processes and experience with WMS systems.
